Capturing Process Line Set Up Timings

Starting Set /Up Checking

All production lines begin with a set-up/check-up phase and as such you can see that the Setup status light is red.




The setup time needs to be captured, so: -

1. Click the start icon as you begin setting up the job on the machine.
   
   
   
   
2. The following happens: -
1. The setup status light updates to Amber
2. I the background, the duration timer counter for the set-up phase begins
   
   
   
   

Completing Set /Up Checking

When you have completed setting up the job, and have undertaken all the necessary sign off checks to begin the job, you need to record that you have signed it off and production phase can begin.

 To do this:-

1. Click the start icon again
   
   
2.  You must now record who has setup and signed off the job
   
   
3. Find your name in the drop-down list (this contains the names of individuals who have authority to sign off jobs as checked) and click select
   
   
   Note: Be mindful that the name recorded against the line is confirming their responsibility that the job has been set up correctly and signed off as such. You should not therefore select a name of someone who has not done this!
   

4. The production stage of the process starts
