View Workload |
Ability to view screen print workload by several criteria:
|
Exists | Essential |
Highlight Time Critical jobs |
Ability to visually highlight a print job where required date = today() |
Exists | Essential |
Organise Workload |
Ability to set (or amend) the relative priority for a print job Ability to see workload organised by relative priority and other criteria Ability to amend a print job scheduling data - allocate to a differing machine
Ability to see machine / shift allocation level (i.e. qty of prints (including colour consideration) v.s. tooling capacity
|
Exists |
Essential |
Predict/Estimate Workload duration |
Appetite for
estimating the duration of print run
needs more thought and probably belongs in prod management - but having allocation / estimation logic might be very useful |
Enhancement |
TBC |
Customise View of Workload |
Ability to filter workload by series of parameters - Machine - Estimated Print Date |
||
View essential print related information |
Ability to see Technical specification detail for print job |
Exists |

Ability to see Garment details / breakdown for Job |

is there any desire to have ability to see visuals beside each press ? |

Undertake Pre Run Check |
Ability to indicate pre-run check begun - capture time metric - update check status
|
Exists |
Essential |
Complete Pre Run Check |
Ability to indicate pre-run checks completed (simultaneously starts main print run) - set check status completed - capture responsible person - capture time metric and thus duration
|
Exists |
Essential |
Undertake Print Run |
Triggered from completion of pre-run checks - set production status for print line > In progress capture main run start time |
Exists |
Essential |
Complete Print Run |
Update Status > completed capture duration |
Exists |
Essential |
Determine how to process stencil set post print run |
Evaluate cases as per practice Case 1: No scheduled un-started jobs for same stencil set exists Stencils not need > set status to Wash |
Exists |
Essential |
Case 2: Needed: Un-started jobs) ready and stock picked; no alterations indicate Stencils needed and can be used > set status to Use Again Currently print operators do this evaluation - would be nice if system could do evaluation for them |
Enhancement |
High |
|
Case 3: Needed: Un-started jobs) stock not picked; scheduled estimated print date > today() Currently users evaluate a) confidence factor that stock will arrive and b) estimated print date If a) High and b) <2 days - they manually update to Use Again - stencil set remove from press and stored in print shop
If a)<> High or b) >2 days - they manually update to Wash - stencil set washed and filed for future availability
Would be nice enhancement to evaluate this for the user, present the information and offer them the recommendation of Use Again or Wash |
Enhancement |
High |
|
Case 4: Needed: Un-started job(s) stock picked; alterations needed Set marked to Use Again Staff adjust stencil order / ink as necessary and then start pre-check
Again would be nice enhancement to recommend this default |
Enhancement |
High |
|
Note: for all the above - except case 1; the system should allow user to determine use again or wash - the enhancements are more about giving them additional information / recommendation based on rule |

Account for Finished Items, Scrap and Qty processed |
Support the following two scenarios
Case 1: Print run is the last remaining uncompleted process for the job
Case 2: Print run is not last remaining uncompleted process for the job
|
Exists |
Essential |
Monitor production runs > reallocate as necessary |
Provide ability to amend the print process record to allow changing machine / shift / etc - this is manually done by print staff |
Exists |
Essential |
Could we not do this a bit more intelligently by calculating estimated duration of non started jobs for machine / shift versus time left in shift Needs more thought as to include current velocity to update estimated completion times etc Could also think about having estimated total completion time per machine on a shift to ascertain where to allocate to Thinking even more about this - monitoring machine run rate vs. baselines so can see where performance bottlenecks are occurring and take pre-emptive action
Bottom line trying to drive efficiency through real time velocity capture |
