The fire alarm will sound if it has been triggered by smoke from a fire, the beams near the roof of the facility have been compromised or if someone manually pushes a button from on of the many call points in the facility.
In the event that you discover a fire and the alarm has not already sounded, raise the alarm by pressing the switch at the nearest Fire Alarm Operating Point.

On hearing the fire alarm, please proceed
as follows:
Leave the building at once quickly and
calmly by the nearest available route Note:
Escape routes are indicated by Green signs

NOT STOP TO COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS
When
clear of the building, proceed to your department assembly point In
the Car Park at the front of the building. This is clearly marked
on the front fence.
Note: Do not stand in front of the main gate.
When all staff are assembled, the manager of the department will check everyone is present and not still in the building. It is important that you listen carefully for your name and indicate your presence if called.
DO NOT re-enter the building until
told to do so by the nominated Fire Officer.
Fire drills are important and need to be taken seriously.
The person who oversees your department needs your undivided attention.
