Checking Any location is empty

In the course of picking stock / stock checking, you will use temporary locations (such as trolleys, or temporary location laminates) to act as intermediate locations for 1st picked stock until picks have been fully administered.

As such it is crucial that before use the temporary location, that you ensure that it  holds now records

  1. From  Ipad Dashboard > All items in a  location > Scan the Trolley barcode

  2. Strokeone will list the location, together with four portals representing the potential objects [Job, Fulfilment, Item, Purchase Orders] that can be associated to a location.

The below screen-shot demonstrates a completely empty location - note each of the portals contains no records.

  3. If the temporary location  contains records - it is not electronically empty and will require some investigation / experience  / referral to senior colleagues for guidance as to how to clear the records.
  4. Do not delete records in the portals unless you are certain that they are obsolete records , and/or you have been instructed to by senior colleagues

Dealing with Obsolete records

Once you have established that a record shown is obsolete, you can process as  follows

Jobs, Purchase Orders and Fulfilments

Deleting records

Click the X beside the corresponding record.

Moving Records

If the record should not be deleted but moved (for example, you want to move the content of a trolley to another location) use the Move button beside the corresponding record. This will activate the camera on your device and prompt you to scan the location to which  you are moving the contents.

Viewing & Moving SKU's

When there are SKU's associated to the location, they are shown in the Item portal, together with a description and Qty recorded.

You cannot (nor should you) delete the SKU record.
if the entry is incorrect - use the Stock Check button to access the stock checking layout - and make correcting entries within that.

See Stock Checking for more details.
