TOT's client's periodically request that their stock is disposed of.
This topic outlines how to do this efficiently and the necessity of capturing charges for this service.
Clients interrogate cport to see their stock holdings. For stock that is no longer wanted, they create re seller fulfilments instructing that the items should be disposed of.
Example:
Clients often create several fulfilments to dispose of items. As TOT utilises random stock keeping, it is likely that a single location may contain items requested on several fulfilments.
Therefore the most efficient (i.e. the way minimise how often to visit a single location) is to check the location for allocations within the Picker.
For example - consider the following 4 disposal fulfilments.
When in the picker form - use the Stock Check function for a location to see if there are any allocations for other items from the same location.
For example - looking at Location D-11D1 (1) you can see that a series of A Boogie Wit... items are needed.
Clicking on the Stock Check (2)
shows all items in the location - and moreover which ones are allocated.
As the above screens hot shows - as well as the A Boogie items, you can see that a series of Sugababes items are allocated - i.e. they are required for something.
Click on the box icon
to reveal what order(s) require the item
By
using this method of interrogating the stock check layout for each location
on the pick - you can identify all the items that are required from the
location (i.e. on several fulfilments) and therefore only visit the location
once to pick the requirements.
This is the most efficient way of processing the picks rather than visiting the same location several times.
When processing disposals, you may find that an item is not physically in a location despite being electronically recorded there.
In these scenarios - the following procedure should be followed.
Historically clients have not been charged appropriately for disposals as they have suggested that TOT use the disposal items for test prints.
However, TOT has more than enough test prints so effective from now.
