Assessing Fulfilments

  1. Get Fulfilments  Can be picked Today **
See understanding Fulfilment Filters for supplemental information as to how these filters work.

  2. Assess each fulfilment record via Picker and Stock Checker buttons.

  3. Review what kind of picking scenario  to apply. Some considerations:-

    1. Number of line items required.

    2. Number of  storage locations.

    3. Exact stock number in location or surplus.

    4. Other fulfilments that can be picked from same location(s).

Important: Where stock required is on upper levels - it needs retrieval first.

  1. Group separate fulfilments for picking as appropriate.

  2. Record picking method.

  3. Assign picking person.

  4. Repeat assessment process regularly (hourly?)  during shift

** Do not limit assessment to can pick today only  - if today's picks have been exhausted - extend assessment to Fulfilments that Can be picked Tomorrow / Greater than tomorrow to exhaust those.

Notes:

The above points refers to fulfilments which are ready to pick.
However, part of the scope of assessing fulfilments is to look at those that require picking but can't yet be picked  - especially those in a blue / partially available status to see if the reasons for not being fully available can be remedied (data entry issues; production shortfall / rejects)

See the topic Understanding why Available to Pick Status is Blue for full explanation of how to assess and deal with these scenarios
