Identify where the Blank Stock is required

Overview

Blank stock delivered to TOT is likely destined for one or more of the following process paths.

Determining Where Stock  is to be routed

Open the electronic PO record

Checking for Job Requirements

  1. Navigate to the Jobs tab
  2. The left section (1) displays the items ordered on the purchase order - together with ordered quantity and quantity outstanding
  3. If the PO was raised from a Job (or Jobs) they will be listed in the middle section (2) - viewing  the job will display what requirements it has in the right section(3)
  4. So , if you see Jobs listed, that have not been fully picked - you can see that the stock is required for the job. Depending on the quantities required by the job relative to the quantity received on the order will tell you if there will be a balance

Required on POD jobs

There is an exception to the above for blank stock received for web-store PO jobs. Items for web store jobs are ordered separately - and the delivery note from the supplier specifically includes WS as part of the order reference identifier. Stock for POD jobs is processed slightly differently - see  Dealing with PO's where Items for POD Jobs

Therefore by looking at the pre-check paperwork uploaded for the PO, you can determine whether the received stock is for a webstores orders
Note the reference begins with WS.-

Checking for Fulfilment Requirements

  1. Click the Fulfilment Tab
  2. Similar to job tab, If there are any fulfilments which require some or all of the items they will be listed in this tab together with the requirement and current picked quantity.
  3. Thus, identically to before, if you see fulfilments listed, that have not been fully picked - you can see that the stock is required for the fulfilment. Depending on the quantities required by the fulfilment and relative to the quantity received on the order will tell you if there will be a balance

Destined for Stock Balance in Warehouse

Following this logic trail, items are due to for stock balance

  1. If there are no listed Jobs or Fulfilments
  2. If any listed jobs or Fulfilments are fully picked
  3. If there are jobs or fulfilments listed but their open requirements (i.e. still to pick qtys) are lower the quantities received on the delivery, then the surplus will be due to stock balance.
